  Outstanding service from Ben (mechanic) and all the autoservice desk staff at Yellowknife's Canadian Tire today. Helped me get my frozen up truck back on the road. Thank goodness my car battery was still under warranty ... and the store had all the records needed to demonstrate this. Staff was efficient, friendly and super busy due to the impact of the exceptionally cold weather. THANK YOU.

  I must say that since the new owners have taken over this store has deteriorated in customer service. There are long check out lines, the self checkout is never operational and we just do not see the same level of service. Today I waited in a long line and once I got to the cash I was told there was only debit or credit. ( the sign was posted at the cash behind another sign) Thankfully the person behind me saw this frustration and actually paid for my purchase. That is what I love of about this town. Trying to get prices for past flyers for large groups like schools just doesn't happen anymore. As a person, like many other yellowknifers, who spends a great deal of money at this store, the level of reciprocated appreciation is something that needs a great deal improvement.
